MARVIN FREEMAN

PARTNER/CO-FOUNDER

Mr. Marvin Freeman has been an icon in the luxury eyewear retail industry for over 40 years. He is an innovative entrepreneur who has successfully launched close to one hundred luxury eyewear stores world-wide. Freeman is a firm believer that designer eyewear is a necessary accessory like fine jewelry. He has a rare talent for choosing the most unique eyewear for his stores. Freeman has always maintained that the lenses in a frame should be as beautiful as the eyewear that holds them. He implemented a custom lens designing method that is still used to this day.

COSMAS N. LYKOS

PARTNER/CO-FOUNDER

Cosmas N. Lykos graduated with Honors from Duke University School of Law and then, after practicing law at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, entered the eyewear world with Oakley. Cos served as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Legal Officer of Oakley, responsible for the three areas of Business Development, Legal and the non-Oakley branded subsidiaries, which reported to him including Oliver Peoples and the Optical Shop of Aspen. Later, he became Co-owner and President of the Optical Shop International, a designer and distributor of licensed eyewear brands, including Chrome Hearts and Blinde. He was also a minority owner and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dragon Alliance, a global action sports inspired eyewear brand. Mr. Lykos co-founded Lookmatic.com, an internet e-commerce eyewear company, selling prescription frames and sunglasses direct to consumers. He served as Lookmatic’s Vice-Chairman until he negotiated its sale. Cos has been a force in both the retail and wholesale eyewear fields for over 20 years.

JOSHUA PIANKO

PARTNER/CO-FOUNDER

Joshua Pianko began his business relationship with Marvin Freeman in 2007. Planko’s analytical and financial acumen provided the foundation for their new partnership. Together they translated their shared vision to the Chinese marketplace and introduced customers to a heretofore-unknown eyewear experience. Pianko’s philosophies on success are based on implementing his core business values: hard work, flawless operations, and attention to detail.
